Different Genres of Film

There are a variety of different genres that I can choose for my brief. This presentation has given me an overview on the different sorts of genres that I can do for my trailer. I definitely feel as though this has helped me immensely as I now know what is involved in each genre and have a good knowledge on the different sub-genres that I can also achieve. The next stage of my research that I find it critical that I complete, is looking more closely at existing film trailers that are on the market. I will be able to do some textual analysis and have a deeper understanding on what I will be expected to conform to within my own trailer. It will also give me an idea of what sort of things I should be thinking about including within my film trailer as I want to make it as realistic and professional as possible.
